Auto Negligence
Auto Negligence, Personal Injury Law, Slip and Fall
What Is It?
A personal injury case includes almost any wrong done to you or your property by someone else. Your injuries could include an injury to your person or family member, damage to your property or emotional distress. Many personal injury cases involve automobile accidents. However, many injury cases do not involve automobiles and can arise in any number of circumstances from dog bites to slip and fall accidents to medical malpractice.
What Should I Do If I Am Injured?
If you believe your injury may have been caused by the carelessness or intentional act of another, call Nichols & Eberth, P.C. to discuss this. You should call as soon as it is convenient for you to do so and avoid discussing the matter with strangers and/or insurance representatives who are not from your own insurance company. You should, of course, be cooperative with the police, your own treating physicians and the representative from your own insurance company. However, call us early and we will help you decide to whom you should be talking.
What Are My Attorney Fees?
Attorney fees in personal injury cases are based on a percentage of any amount recovered and are contingent on your receiving a court or jury award or a settlement. At Nichols & Eberth, P.C., we will discuss this with you at the very first meeting and will provide you with a written contract so you will be comfortable knowing what the fee arrangements with us will be. At Nichols & Eberth, P.C., we do not receive any fee if you do not receive a recovery.
